Natalie T. Cheng is an Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology (Pending Appointment at Rank) at Weill Cornell Medicine, specializing in vascular neurology and stroke care. She holds academic roles across multiple departments including Neurology:Stroke at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) and Neurology divisions at Weill Cornell Medicine. Her clinical practice focuses on acute neurologic emergencies, stroke evaluation, and cerebrovascular disease management. Dr. Cheng completed her residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, serving as Chief Resident, followed by a vascular neurology fellowship at UCSF and an NIH Strokenet research fellowship. She previously directed stroke services at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and led the NYP Brooklyn Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit. At Montefiore-Einstein, she held roles as Assistant Professor and Clinical Liaison for the Comprehensive Stroke Center Network. Her research interests emphasize improving healthcare delivery efficiency, reducing care variability, and optimizing stroke care pathways. She returned to Weill Cornell in 2023 as Site Chief for Neurology at Lower Manhattan Hospital and Chair of the Departmental Quality Improvement Committee. Educational background: B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology & Psychology from UC Berkeley (2005), M.D. from University of Rochester (2010). Board-certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
