Professor Kain Roger is a distinguished academic in historical geography and cartography. He currently served as Dean and Chief Executive of the School of Advanced Study at the University of London (2010–2017), following roles such as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Exeter (2002–2010) and Montefiore Professor of Geography at the University of Exeter (1991–2010). His research focuses on maps and mapping history, urban planning, and historical geography. He holds a Higher Doctorate (DLit) in History from the University of London (1998).
