Cristina Trocin is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at Católica Porto Business School , Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and conducts research at the intersection of technology, organizations, and digital innovation. Her work focuses on AI in healthcare, including topics like EHR implementation challenges, algorithmic evaluations in medical contexts, and the ethical dimensions of AI adoption. She holds a PhD in Management (Information Systems in healthcare) from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, with postdoctoral research at NTNU and visiting positions at American University. Recent work explores unintended consequences of EHR systems, AI-driven decision-making in breast cancer treatment, and generative AI applications for sustainability goals.
