His research focuses on climate change impacts, hydrological modeling, and environmental predictability, particularly in Africa. He leads UNESCO initiatives like the EURO-FRIEND programme and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and water management. Dieppois has published extensively in high-impact journals, with over 88 articles and 877 citations. His work emphasizes decadal climate variability, human-land-water interactions, and multi-model evaluation frameworks. He has secured £7M in grants, supervises PhD students, and collaborates internationally on projects like CC-MADA (Madagascar) and ACTNAO (West Africa). Key research interests include predicting hydro-agroclimatic risks, improving climate model evaluations, and advancing flood/drought management strategies. His awards include the Stanley Jackson Award (2016) for climate science contributions and the 2023 Outstanding Research Supervisory Team honor. Dieppois actively participates in global networks, including the UK National Committee for International Hydrology and UNESCO IHP.
