Dr. Binbin Li is an Associate Professor of Environmental Sciences at the Environmental Research Center, Duke Kunshan University, with a secondary appointment at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment. She specializes in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development under climate change, producing over 40 peer-reviewed publications in top journals like Science and Conservation Biology . Her work has secured over 8.5 million RMB in funding and garnered international media attention. Dr. Li holds leadership roles in global conservation organizations, including co-chair of the IUCN WCPA-Protected Planet Specialist Group and service on the IUCN Species Survival Commission. She advises China's State Forestry Administration and the Giant Panda National Park, and leads initiatives like the China Anti-bird Collision Action Alliance, the largest citizen science project in China. She is editor-in-chief of Integrative Conservation and serves on editorial boards for multiple journals. Her research focuses on synergies between conservation and socioeconomic development, ecosystem restoration, and zoonotic pandemic prevention. She has been awarded the EC50 (Explorers Club's top explorers award) and China's Outstanding Young Talent Award. Her work bridges science and policy, emphasizing public engagement and media-driven conservation storytelling through her role at SilverLining Conservation Center.
