Elisabet Garcia Gonzalez is a temporary academic staff member at the University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Clinical Linguistics and Language Acquisition department. Her research focuses on bilingualism and cognitive development, particularly the interplay between executive functions and language acquisition in multilingual children. She holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2014), an MA in General Linguistics (2015), and a research MA in Linguistics (2017) from the University of Amsterdam. Her work has explored the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minority language use in Norway, with findings highlighted in a New York Times article.
