Tuğçe Olcay is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Karabük University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. She has been serving in this full-time academic position since 2023, following 10 years as a Research Assistant at the same institution (2013-2023). Her educational background includes: PhD in Economics from Dokuz Eylül University's Institute of Social Sciences (2015-2022) Master's degree in General Economics (Thesis) from Dokuz Eylül University (2011-2015) BA in Economics from Ege University's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (2006-2011) Dr. Olcay's research focuses primarily on Macroeconomics, Knowledge Economy, and Economic Development with specific attention to Turkish economic issues. Her work examines the relationship between renewable energy and economic growth, youth employment in the knowledge society context, financial structures, monetary policies, and Turkey's position in international trade. She teaches courses including Economic Development and Growth, Knowledge Economy, Macroeconomic Analysis, Economic Policy, Microeconomics, and Turkish Economy at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Her publication record shows consistent scholarly output with 13 total publications including 6 articles and 7 conference papers.
