Nathaniel Barlow is an Associate Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics within the College of Science at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University (2009) and has conducted postdoctoral research as an NSF CI-TraCS Fellow at SUNY Buffalo, where he co-developed asymptotic approximants—a re-summation technique for divergent series. His research focuses on asymptotic analysis, fluid dynamics, and wave instability, with notable contributions to boundary layer analysis and epidemic modeling via asymptotic methods. He leads the Barlow-Weinstein research group, collaborating on projects involving undergraduate and graduate students.
