Ofer Biran is a prominent computer science researcher at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he serves as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. With a research career spanning over three decades from 1988 to present, Biran has established himself as a leading expert in distributed systems and cloud computing. His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical systems implementation, evolving from early theoretical distributed computing research to contemporary cloud infrastructure and policy analytics systems.
