Associate Professor Aykut Ulucan is a faculty member at Bingöl University, serving in the Health Services Vocational School within the Medical Services and Techniques Department, specifically in Pathology Laboratory Techniques. He holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Pathology from Afyon Kocatepe University (2008-2014) and completed his undergraduate veterinary education at Ankara University (2002-2007). His research focuses on veterinary pathology with special emphasis on immunohistochemistry, experimental amyloidosis, and toxicology. Ulucan extensively utilizes animal models, particularly zebrafish and small ruminants, to investigate the effects of various toxic substances and pathogens. His recent publications demonstrate expertise in fish toxicology, bacterial pathogenesis, and the effects of herbal additives on poultry. Professor Ulucan teaches multiple pathology-related courses including Immunohistochemistry, Pathology Laboratory Techniques Applications, Special Cytotechnology, and Histology. His current research is supported by TÜBİTAK projects where he serves as both Principal Investigator and researcher, focusing on immunological responses in zebrafish models and bacterial etiology of stomach ulcers. Active TÜBİTAK Project as Principal Investigator since 2016 Multiple BAP-funded research projects completed between 2010-2014 Category B Animal Experimentation Certificate Applied Immunohistochemistry Course certification His laboratory work combines histopathological examination with immunological analysis, contributing significantly to understanding pathogen-host interactions and toxicological effects in various animal models.
