Daniele Brunelli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Geological Sciences at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). His research bridges petrology, volcanology, and geochemistry, focusing on mantle dynamics, magmatic processes, and tectonic-volcanic interactions at mid-ocean ridges and transform faults. He also contributes to interdisciplinary archaeometric studies, particularly in Mediterranean prehistoric and protohistoric ceramic analysis. Research Interests : Mantle heterogeneity, volcanology, serpentinization, geodynamic modeling, and archaeometry. Recent Publications : Investigate CO2 degassing in mantle rocks, hydrous fluid migration in ultra-slow ridges, and lithospheric heat production using gamma spectrometry. Teaching : Courses in Petrology and Volcanology for Geosciences, and Petrography for Natural Sciences, emphasizing microscopy and geochemical analysis. Collaborations : Active in international ocean drilling projects and field studies at the St. Paul Transform System and Romanche Fracture Zone.
