Amina Souag serves as a Lecturer in Computing within the Computing, AI and Cyber Security department of Canterbury Christ University's School of Engineering, Technology and Design. She holds module leadership for core courses including Artificial Intelligence, Computational Thinking, Big Data Databases, and Advanced Database Systems. Dr. Souag earned her PhD from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University's Research Centre in Computer Sciences (2011-2015) with funding from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Her doctoral research developed an artificial intelligence ontology-based and rule-based methodology for requirements engineering, followed by post-PhD work at Paris 1 Sorbonne evaluating pattern-based requirements techniques and applying ontological frameworks to digital humanities. Her research integrates Artificial Intelligence with Requirements Engineering through ontology-driven approaches, extending into Knowledge Engineering applications for Digital Humanities and contemporary Big Data systems. This interdisciplinary work bridges computational theory with practical engineering solutions and humanities scholarship. Her doctoral research received competitive funding from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (2011-2015). She maintains active academic engagement through peer review services for computer science conferences, workshops, and journals, contributing to scholarly evaluation in her field.
