Dr Edward Naessens is a research-active academic and Programme Coordinator at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin and leads the development of FLO mCPD, an AI-driven, self-directed learning platform aimed at enhancing professional competence and regulatory compliance among healthcare workers. His work is supported by Enterprise Ireland and aligns with RCSI’s mission of evidence-based innovation and ethical use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
