Christopher McCorkindale is a Senior Lecturer at the Strathclyde Law School, University of Strathclyde, specializing in constitutional and administrative law. He joined the university in 2012 after a lectureship at Glasgow Caledonian University. His research focuses on UK and Scottish constitutional law, devolution, Brexit, Scottish independence, and Hannah Arendt's political thought. He advises the Scottish Parliament's Constitution, Europe, External Affairs and Culture Committee and co-edits the Edinburgh Law Review. PhD: Reclaiming the Public: Hannah Arendt and the Political Constitution of the UK (University of Glasgow, 2010) MLitt: University of St Andrews (2005) LLB: University of Glasgow (2004) Research interests include constitutional law history, legislative competence in devolved legislatures, and judicial review dynamics. He collaborates internationally on projects like legislative consent post-Brexit and judicial review in Scotland. Active in public law education, he teaches Constitutional and Administrative Law modules. He also leads student wellbeing initiatives and widening participation in the Law School. Notable contributions include co-editing Hannah Arendt and the Law (2012) and Arendt and Law (2017). His recent projects explore governance challenges in post-Brexit UK and Scottish constitutional futures. Grants & Collaborations: Clark Foundation-funded judicial review study, BA-funded legislative consent review, and projects with Queen's University (Canada) and Durham University.
