Paul Van Oorschot is a Professor at the School of Computer Science, Carleton University. He has held the Canada Research Chair in Authentication and Computer Security from 2002 to 2023. He co-authored the seminal Handbook of Applied Cryptography and led the NSERC Internetworked Systems Security Network (2008–2013).
