AbdelRahman Abdou

Dr. AbdelRahman Abdou is an Associate Professor at Carleton University's School of Computer Science and co-director of the Carleton Internet Security Lab (CISL). Previously a senior research scientist at ETH Zurich, his research focuses on Internet security including SDN security, TLS/PKI, DNS security, and secure geolocation.

Research interests include Internet measurements, SSL/TLS protocols, authentication systems, secure BGP, and software-defined network security. Recent publications examine vulnerability management, accessibility in cybersecurity, and trust models.

He teaches courses including Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Internet Measurements. As CISL co-director, he supervises graduate students researching network security and internet measurements.
