Randall Stevenson is a Professor at the University of Edinburgh, where he has served as a lecturer in the Department of English Literature since 1979, and currently holds a Visiting Fellow position at the Humanities Research Centre, Australian National University. His extensive international experience includes lecturing across eleven European countries, Korea, Egypt, and Nigeria through engagements with the British Council. His educational background includes: University of Edinburgh: Astrophysics and English Literature University of Oxford: Advanced Studies Professor Stevenson's research centers on twentieth-century literature and the historical dynamics of modernity, with specialized expertise in modernism, Great War literature, narrative theory (particularly temporality and structural analysis), British fiction and drama across the 20th century, postmodernist fiction, post-1950 Scottish theatre, and interdisciplinary intersections between literature and science. His scholarly contributions include the publication "Reification and Robotics, Relativity and Redemption: Fiction and the Imagination of Science 1919-1939".
