Meisner’s research focuses on Critical Theory, Marxist philosophy, and ecological-economic democratization. He reinterprets Frankfurt School concepts like 'false needs' for contemporary socioecological challenges and analyzes the interplay between antimodernism, neoliberalism, and neofascism in post-1989/90/91 contexts. His work emphasizes dialectical methodologies across humanities and social sciences.
Recent publications reveal thematic clusters in political autonomy, dialectical Marx-Maoist theory, and materialist approaches to climate crisis. He contributes to heterodox economics through critical theory frameworks while exploring epistemological challenges in social sciences.
