Dr. Anne Halpin serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta, where she bridges clinical laboratory science and transplant medicine through advanced histocompatibility research. Her research program centers on Histocompatibility , ABO-Histocompatibility , Transplantation , and Living Donation , with emphasis on: ABO-incompatible organ transplantation protocols HLA antibody characterization and desensitization strategies Development of novel serological assays for antibody detection Outcomes analysis in islet and pancreas transplantation Management of sensitized transplant candidates Analysis of her 12 publications (2021-2025) reveals consistent leadership in ABO/HLA antibody research across kidney, heart, and islet transplantation.
