Dr. Sameem Abedin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He serves as Medical Director of the Inpatient Translational Research Unit and previously directed the Adult Early Phase Program in Hematologic Malignancies. Dr. Abedin completed his medical training at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, residency at the University of Pittsburgh, and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Northwestern University. Dr. Abedin's research focuses on acute myeloid leukemia therapeutics and graft-versus-host disease management. His laboratory work investigates novel therapeutic approaches for relapsed/refractory AML, including CDK9 inhibitors and antibody-drug conjugates, while his clinical research examines GVHD prophylaxis strategies and transplantation outcomes. His recent publications demonstrate expertise in translating laboratory findings to clinical applications for hematologic malignancy patients.
