Masahiro Yamaguchi is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering at Tohoku University since 2003. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University (1991-2003), and was a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1995). He is affiliated with the New Industry Creation Hatchery Center (NICHe) at Tohoku University since 2010. Education: B.S., M.S., Ph.D. (Dr. Eng.) in Electrical and Communication Engineering, Tohoku University (1979, 1981, 1984) His research focuses on RF permeability and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) measurements for magnetic thin films, RF magnetic field analysis for IC chips to counter electromagnetic interference, and soft magnetic materials applications in on-chip RF devices like thin film inductors and noise suppressors. Prof. Yamaguchi has held significant roles including Chairman of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan's On-Chip RF Magnetics committees (2011-2014), Co-editor-in-chief for the Magnetics Society of Japan (2007-2010), and IEEE Magnetics Society Japan-Sendai Chapter Chair (2007). He established the International Workshop on High-Frequency Micromagnetic Devices and Materials (MMDM, 2002-2008).
