Dieter Meschede is a Full Professor of Physics at the University of Bonn since 1994. Previously, he held positions at the University of Hannover (1990–1994), the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics (1988–1990), and Yale University (1984–1987). His research focuses on quantum optics, cold atom physics, and quantum information science. He has received prestigious awards including the ERC Advanced Grant for quantum simulation (DQSIM) and the Robert-Wichard-Pohl Prize.
