Roya Ghiaseddin is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Notre Dame’s College of Science. She joined ACMS in 2012 after sixteen years as faculty at the Mendoza College of Business. Her roles include mentoring thesis committees for the Master of Global Health program and teaching courses like Statistics for Life Sciences and Quantitative Methods for Psychology PhD students. Dr. Ghiaseddin holds a Ph.D. (1995), M.A. (1990), and M.S.A. (1989), all from the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on global health initiatives, including HPV vaccination campaigns in Indiana, HIV prevalence studies in Ecuador, mental health among HIV patients in northern Indiana, and mosquito trap efficacy research with the Kenya Medical Research Institute and University of Greenwich. She has contributed to projects addressing opioid crisis management, childhood lead exposure prediction, and chemical dependency reduction through collaborations like the Michiana Opioid Task Force. Her office is 168A Hurley Hall. Awards: Recipient of the Kaneb Excellence in Teaching Award during her Mendoza College tenure.
