Boncho Ivanov Aleksandrov is a Professor at the Technical University - Gabrovo, Faculty of Computer Systems and Technologies, Department of Information Security and Computer Systems. He has maintained an active research and teaching career with numerous publications and research projects spanning over a decade. His research interests focus on information security, cryptography, computer networks, and electronic business. His work bridges theoretical cryptographic methods with practical business applications, developing solutions for secure information exchange, data protection, and business process modeling in digital environments. Alexandrov's publication record shows a consistent progression from foundational cryptographic research to more applied business and management contexts. His recent work (2017-2019) demonstrates increased focus on cloud computing environments, IT resource management, and electronic business security, while maintaining his expertise in core information security principles. He has successfully supervised PhD research, with Petko Vasilev Kochevski completing work on 'Hybrid cryptographic tools and systems for information protection in computer networks and systems.' Alexandrov has led multiple significant research projects at Technical University - Gabrovo, particularly in information technology management (2015), business information flows (2014), and business process modeling (2008-2011).
