Dr. Jonah Gannon is a Director's Astrophysics Research Fellow at the School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies, Swinburne University of Technology. His research focuses on ultra-diffuse galaxies (UDGs), globular cluster (GC) systems, and dark matter dynamics. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, with recent work exploring DM-deficient dwarf galaxies and the kinematic properties of GC-rich UDGs. Dr. Gannon has been actively involved in professional committees including the Swinburne Keck Time Allocation Committee and the Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing Equity and Diversity Committee. He is a recipient of the Early Career Visiting Research Fellowship and The Betty Bennett Award for Academic Excellence. He remains available to supervise Doctorate (PhD) students in astro-physical fields. His research employs advanced observational techniques using facilities like the Keck Cosmic Web Imager and Hubble Space Telescope, focusing on topics such as GC system richness correlations, failed galaxy formation scenarios, and the dynamics of UDGs in galaxy clusters.
