Piia Kalamees is an Associate Professor in Civil Law at the University of Tartu, Faculty of Social Sciences, School of Law, where she has been working since 2006. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in Civil Law (since August 15, 2022) and previously held positions as Programme Director for Bachelor's and Master's programs (since January 14, 2020) and Associate Professor in Civil Law. She has extensively researched electronic signatures, identity theft in consumer finance, and the implications of digital elements in consumer goods. Her work often employs comparative legal analysis, particularly between Estonian and Norwegian law, and examines how EU regulations are implemented at the national level.
