Chiara MIO is a Full Professor at the Department of Management, Venice School of Management, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She holds a prominent academic and leadership role, serving as Director of the Sustainability Laboratory and Director of the Master's Degree in Sustainability (MA.So.). She is also a member of the teaching staff in the PhD program in Science and Management of Climate Change at the same university. Her research focuses on sustainability, corporate governance, integrated reporting, social and environmental accountability, management control systems, and performance measurement in both private and public sectors. She has led multiple master's programs and served on university committees related to teaching and sustainability. Prof. MIO is highly engaged internationally, having served as Chair of the ESG Reporting Task Force at Accountancy Europe and currently serving on the IFAC Board and EFRAG Sustainability Reporting TEG. She has also contributed to European Commission expert groups and sustainability policy development. She has received significant recognition, including the Premio Donna di Eccellenza from AIDDA Friuli Venezia Giulia in 2017. She has also held public office as an Assessor in Pordenone and contributed to national and regional sustainability policy. She is actively involved in editorial and scientific committees of journals such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management , Social and Environmental Accountability Journal , and International Journal of Environmental Protection and Policy , and is affiliated with academic associations including AIDEA, AAA, and SIDREA.
