Mikko Leppämäki is a Professor at the Department of Finance, School of Business, Aalto University. His academic career spans decades of research in corporate finance, contract theory, and entrepreneurship. He holds a doctoral degree in Business and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, awarded in 1997, and a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Oulu (1989). Research Interests: Leppämäki's work centers on theoretical corporate finance, contract theory, and the interplay between entrepreneurship and labor market institutions. He is currently investigating startup financing and entrepreneurial spinnoffs, aligning with global priorities such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in education and academic development.
