Gloria Rhodes is an Associate Professor at the Center for Justice & Peacebuilding within Eastern Mennonite University , specializing in peacebuilding and conflict studies. She teaches courses on conflict theory, peacebuilding practice, and conflict transformation to graduate and undergraduate students, including those in the Masters of Nursing program. PhD in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University MS in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University BA in English Literature & Composition with minors in Business Administration and Journalism from EMU Her expertise spans peacebuilding curriculum development , conflict assessment , group facilitation , and enneagram training . She has led cross-cultural programs in Northern Ireland, Russia, South Korea, and the Navajo Nation, emphasizing cross-cultural education and practice-related research . The 2023 article Conflict analysis, learning from practice highlights her work bridging theory and practice in peacebuilding. Her research trends focus on personal formation , trauma resilience , and conflict competency for leaders , as seen in her 2021 forthcoming book chapter and STAR program contributions. Sabbatical, EMU, Spring 2021 Sabbatical, EMU, Spring 2014 She has served in administrative roles such as Department Chair of Applied Social Sciences and Academic Director of the Center for Justice & Peacebuilding (2022-present), and her community service includes long-term volunteering at Patchwork Pantry and Faith in Action.
