Aradhna E. Tripati is a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles with joint appointments in the Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences Department and Earth & Space Sciences Department. She also holds affiliations with the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, Institute of Environment and Sustainability, and California Nanosystems Institute. Internationally recognized for her work in paleoclimatology and geochemistry, she serves as Visiting Professor at the University of Brest and Visiting Full Professor at the Natural History Museum, University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on clumped isotope geochemistry to understand Earth's climate system, particularly examining carbon transfer between biosphere, atmosphere, and oceans. She specializes in developing and applying clumped isotope thermometry to address questions in climate change, earth systems history, and sedimentary geology. Her work integrates geochemical data with field observations, sedimentology, micropaleontology, and modeling. Analysis of her 15 most recent publications reveals dominant themes in paleoclimate reconstruction using novel isotopic techniques, with particular emphasis on carbonate systems, microbialite formation, and hydrological cycle dynamics. Her research spans temporal scales from the Precambrian to modern systems, consistently advancing methodological approaches in stable isotope geochemistry.
