Dr. Brian Francis is Professor of Ophthalmology at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine and Medical Director of Doheny Eye Center UCLA in Fountain Valley. He holds the Rupert and Gertrude Steiger Endowed Chair in Vision Research at the Doheny Eye Institute, specializing in glaucoma and minimally invasive surgical techniques. With over 130 peer-reviewed publications and co-editorship of the textbook Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery , his recent scholarly work addresses MicroPulse Transscleral Laser Therapy protocols and outcomes. His publication history demonstrates consistent leadership in translating surgical innovations into clinical practice through consensus guidelines and technical refinements.
