Nina Mindt is a Privatdozentin in Latin studies and currently holds a temporary professorship (Vertretungsprofessur) in Classical Philology at Universität Potsdam since 2021. Previously, she served as a temporary professor at Bergische Universität Wuppertal (2015-2019) and was a research associate at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2007-2015). Her research focuses on ancient epigram, Augustan and Flavian literature, literary space construction, and translation theory. She has conducted extensive studies on Martial's epigrammatic canon and the poetical program of Renaissance humanist Elisio Calenzio. Education: She earned her 1st state exam in Latin and German (2005), completed her PhD on Manfred Fuhrmann's translation theory (2007), and habilitation on Martial's epigrammatic canon (2012). She studied at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Università degli Studi di Siena (Arezzo). Research Interests: Her work spans classical reception, Latin pedagogy (Latinitas Viva), and interdisciplinary projects including analyses of literary riverscapes and shipwreck narratives. She collaborates on the 'Dictionnaire analytique de l’épigramme littéraire dans l’Antiquité' and explores the transformation of ancient texts through medieval and Renaissance adaptations. Awards: Humboldt Prize for her state examination thesis (2005). Active in academic networks including the Deutscher Altertumverein and Renaissance Society of America. Teaching and Outreach: Co-founded the Circulus Latinus Berolinensis promoting spoken Latin. Organized interdisciplinary events like the 'Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften' and workshops on translation methodologies.
