Francesco Testa is a Professor of Sustainability of Management at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. He serves as Vice-Director of the Institute of Management and is a partner in the spin-off company Ergo srl. His research focuses on institutional pressures, environmental and economic performance linkages, circular economy business models, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Testa has contributed to numerous EU-funded environmental management projects and holds editorial roles at journals like Business Strategy & the Environment and Organization & Environment . He has authored over 100 publications across articles, books, and chapters. His work explores how organizational strategies respond to environmental regulations and societal expectations. Recent studies investigate biodiversity engagement in corporations, consumer behavior toward recycled materials, and QR code adoption for eco-friendly purchasing. He also collaborates on projects analyzing food waste reduction through consumer lifestyles and online shopping habits. Testa leads the Life Cycle Management research group, developing tools for assessing environmental sustainability strategies.
