Prof. Christian Keindorf holds the position of Professor for Offshore Systems Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Kiel within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He specializes in teaching and researching offshore structures, wind/wave/tidal energy converters, and structural design. His academic background includes a PhD from Leibniz University of Hanover (2009) on sandwich tower fatigue strength and a Civil Engineering degree from TU Braunschweig (2003). Research focuses on innovative offshore energy systems, including modular wind turbine towers and floating wave power plant transport. Key projects include a wave energy test system funded by Schleswig-Holstein's state program (2020-2023) and a modular polygon tower study funded by EKSH (2020-2021). He also serves as a publicly appointed expert for offshore wind turbine structures and曾是SKI Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH's managing partner in Hanover before joining academia. His professional experience spans roles as a consultant engineer, international welding engineer, and academic researcher at Leibniz University.
