Roland Kádár is a Professor at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He serves as a Core Group Leader and member of Working Groups 1 (Infrastructure Development) and 3 (Education and Outreach) at LINXS. His research focuses on rheology and processing of soft matter, with emphasis on complex fluid flows, field-matter interactions in nanostructured fluids for multifunctional properties, and advanced rheometry techniques. Current research includes nonlinear phenomena in polymer melt flows and thixotropic yield stress fluids. Applies flow and magnetic fields to tailor soft matter structures for antibacterial applications. Develops characterization methods like rheo-SAXS at MAX IV, nonlinear mechanical spectroscopy, and dielectric spectroscopy. As a LINXS Fellow, he contributes to education and outreach initiatives, with upcoming guest research activities at LINXS in March-June 2025.
