Roland Kádár is a Professor at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He serves as a Core Group Leader and member of Working Groups 1 (Infrastructure Development) and 3 (Education and Outreach) at LINXS. His research focuses on rheology and processing of soft matter, with emphasis on complex fluid flows, field-matter interactions in nanostructured fluids for multifunctional properties, and advanced rheometry techniques.
- Current research includes nonlinear phenomena in polymer melt flows and thixotropic yield stress fluids.
- Applies flow and magnetic fields to tailor soft matter structures for antibacterial applications.
- Develops characterization methods like rheo-SAXS at MAX IV, nonlinear mechanical spectroscopy, and dielectric spectroscopy.
As a LINXS Fellow, he contributes to education and outreach initiatives, with upcoming guest research activities at LINXS in March-June 2025.
