Associate Professor Yiping Wang is affiliated with the Westmead Clinical School and the Westmead Institute for Medical Research at the University of Sydney. Their research focuses on immunological mechanisms in renal injury, autoimmune diseases, and molecular pathways regulating cellular senescence. They hold a dual role as Senior Research Fellow and Associate Professor, emphasizing translational research in kidney diseases. Key research grants include investigations into DNA damage signaling in polycystic kidney disease (2019) and the role of dendritic cells in chronic kidney disease treatment (2017), both funded by NHMRC Project Grants. Their work bridges basic science and clinical applications, particularly in biomarker discovery and repurposing therapeutic agents. Research interests span nephrology, immunology, and molecular biology, with recent studies exploring long noncoding RNAs as rheumatoid arthritis biomarkers and JNK pathway-driven endothelial senescence in chronic inflammation. Collaborations include teams at the Westmead Institute and international co-authors across immunology and nephrology disciplines.
