Dr Janos Kanczler is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton, affiliated with research groups including the Institute for Life Sciences and Bone and Joint Research Group. His work focuses on bone regeneration, tissue engineering, and biomaterials, with particular emphasis on osteosarcoma mechanisms and stem cell applications. Current projects include developing bioactive coatings for 3D-printed scaffolds and investigating the role of NRF2 in osteoblastogenesis. He supervises six PhD students across Engineering and Health disciplines. Key affiliations: Institute for Life Sciences, Bone and Joint Research Group Active projects: Ultrasound-responsive agents for fracture healing, smart materials for skeletal repair Research interests span biomaterials science, orthopedic applications, and molecular mechanisms in bone development. His publications (2023-2025) demonstrate expertise in scaffold design, growth factor delivery, and advanced imaging techniques for cartilage diagnostics. Supervision includes students working in human development and engineering contexts.
