With a PhD in molecular biology focused on signal transduction pathways in breast cancer and CML, she has over 10 years of experience in oncology clinical trials (PhI-III) and translational research across academia, industry, and public health sectors in the UK and Australia. She has held leadership roles in establishing the SE London Cancer Research Network and managing a preclinical research group at a multinational pharmaceutical company. Her research focuses on translational oncology , particularly in solid tumors , biomarker development , and immune-related adverse events . She co-leads the national AUTO-CHECK initiative investigating molecular determinants of autoimmune complications in cancer patients treated with checkpoint inhibitors and contributes to the Cancer Australia-funded Genomics Cancer Clinical Trials Initiative (GCCTI) . Her work bridges molecular biology and clinical trial design, with a strong emphasis on precision medicine and personalized cancer therapy . Yip's recent publications (2025–2021) span colorectal cancer , prostate cancer , gliomas , and mesothelioma , reflecting her expertise in multinational clinical trials and biomarker integration . She supervises the Biomarkers module in the University of Sydney's Master of Clinical Trials program and collaborates with national cancer cooperative groups and research laboratories. Key grants include funding for the LUMOS-2 glioma umbrella trial (2022), the IWOT lower-grade glioma study (2020), and the AUTO-CHECK project (2017). Her scientific contributions are concentrated on translational research methodologies , biomarker validation , and innovative clinical trial design in oncology.
