Ivano Bison is a Full Professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento. He serves as Rector's delegate for University Community Surveys and Analyses, and is a member of the Academic Senate and Data Protection Committee. His work focuses on computational social science, big data analytics, and methodological innovations for studying human behavior through digital and survey-based approaches. Research interests include longitudinal survey design, sequence analysis, and the integration of mobile sensing technologies with traditional sociological methods. He teaches courses on Digital Social Data, Social Dynamics Lab, and Studies on Human Behaviour, emphasizing interdisciplinary skills in R programming, data visualization, and ethical data practices. Key projects include the DiversityOne initiative, exploring global behavioral patterns through smartphone sensor data, and studies on vaccine hesitancy, academic procrastination, and cross-country social interaction dynamics. His work bridges computational methods with sociological theory to address contemporary challenges in data-driven social research.
