Vincenzo Gioia is a Research Fellow at the University of Trieste's Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics (DEAMS). She specializes in statistical methodologies for environmental and multivariate data analysis, with a focus on extreme value theory and Markov-switching models. Her work addresses climate change impacts (heat wave detection), energy demand modeling, and urban pollution analysis.
Current Projects:
- Joint DEAMS research project analyzing public/telecom data for environmental applications
- Third-party transport data analytics funded by Trieste Trasporti (€33k)
