Szilvia Daczó is a Researcher at the CRC 1646 "Linguistic Creativity in Communication" within the Faculty of Linguistics and Literary Studies at Universität Bielefeld. Her work focuses on morpho-syntactic variation in Hungarian, particularly long-distance agreement phenomena, and the intersection of psycho- and historical linguistics through analogical processes. Education: MPhil in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (King's College, University of Cambridge, 2023-2024); BA Hons in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge, 2020-2023) Her research investigates unconventional structures in Hungarian syntax, such as long-distance agreement between embedded transitive infinitives and intransitive matrix verbs, proposing analogical extension as a key mechanism. She is also engaged in broader psycho-historical linguistics studies. Scientific Awards: 1912 Senior Scholarship, College Prize (x3), Irene Hill Scholarship, Henry Locke Scholarship Daczó actively participates in academic events as a speaker and organizer, including the CRC day, Linguistic Creativity in Generative Grammar conference, and BieLeiCoS2025.
