Dr. Erik Knudsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Media Studies, University of Bergen , specializing in media use and audience research . He leads the NEWSREC project on news recommenders' democratic impact and co-leads a work package at the MediaFutures Research Centre . His research focuses on quantitative audience analysis , media polarization , and trust in journalism .
