Dr. Atılım Güneş Baydin is an Assistant Professor in Machine Learning at the University of Oxford , where he leads the Oxford AI for Science Lab . He holds dual appointments in the Department of Computer Science and Department of Engineering Science , and is affiliated with Jesus College , Kellogg College , and the European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) . Academic Roles : Departmental Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Machine Learning, Senior Researcher in Engineering Science Research Groups : Torr Vision Group, Oxford Applied and Theoretical Machine Learning Group (OATML) His research focuses on probabilistic programming , differentiable programming , and generative modeling , with applications in scientific discovery and space missions.
