Dominic Mircea Kristály is an Associate Professor in the Department of Control Engineering and Information Technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania. His office is located in Corp V, sala VIII8C at Mihai Viteazul 5, Brașov, and his email is dominic.kristaly@unitbv.ro. His research spans Distributed applications , Software architecture , Internet of Things (IoT) , and Ambient Assisted Living systems , demonstrating a strong commitment to developing technological solutions for elderly care and efficient system design. These interests converge in creating user-centered assistive technologies that enhance independence and quality of life for older adults through innovative engineering approaches. Analysis of his 2022-2025 publications reveals a dual research trajectory: (1) assistive technologies for aging populations focusing on IoT monitoring, voice assistants, and multicomponent platforms to combat social isolation, and (2) system engineering methodologies applying MBSE and CE principles to optimize complex development processes. This work bridges theoretical computer science with practical healthcare applications, particularly in non-invasive home monitoring solutions.
