Mustafa Akyurek, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at UMass Chan Medical School, affiliated with the T.H. Chan School of Medicine. He specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with a focus on complex surgical techniques in breast reconstruction, facial trauma, and microvascular procedures. He trained at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, earning both his MD and PhD in Plastic Surgery.
