Georgios Korres currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) at the University of Athens, School of Medicine. He holds a PhD (2009) and MD (2006) from the University of Athens, specializing in ENT and Neuro-otology, along with a BSc (Hons) in Cell and Molecular Biology from Anglia Ruskin University (1999). Academic Qualifications PhD in ENT (University of Athens, 2009) MD in Medicine (University of Athens, 2006) BSc (Hons) in Cell and Molecular Biology (Anglia Ruskin University, 1999) His research focuses on vestibular disorders , occupational hearing loss , genetic factors in hearing impairment , and ENT surgical outcomes . Recent work includes systematic reviews on otosclerosis treatments and dizziness in COVID-19 patients, as well as investigations into cervical VEMP recordings post-stapedotomy and autoimmune vestibulopathy. Notable collaborations include projects at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital (UCL) and Central Manchester University Hospitals. He also contributes to the editorial board of Brain Sciences Journal and participates in the European Board Examination of Otorhinolaryngology.
