Phoebe Koundouri is a Professor at the Department of Technology, Management and Economics at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Her research focuses on climate economics, risk management, and sustainable development, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals. She explores topics such as environmental policy, decarbonization strategies, and the intersection of technology with behavioral finance. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, including machine learning for policy analysis and probabilistic modeling for food security assessments. Recent studies address challenges in the Black Sea region’s Blue Economy, virtual reality’s role in green investing decisions, and comparative emission reduction policies at national and European levels. Koundouri leads research groups in Climate Economics and Risk Management, and Climate and Energy Policy. She collaborates internationally on projects linking human security to sustainability frameworks.
