معرفی
Arne Skou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University, affiliated with the Technical Faculty of IT and Design and the CISS - Center for Embedded Software Systems. His research focuses on model checking, real-time systems, energy engineering, and smart home automation. He has contributed to projects like domOS (operating systems for smart buildings), FEVER (virtual power plants), and FED (Flexible Energy Denmark). Skou’s work integrates formal methods with practical applications in embedded systems and energy flexibility. He has authored over 79 publications, including studies on machine learning for thermal dynamics and probabilistic energy forecasting in heat pumps. His research emphasizes interoperability frameworks like Arrowhead and schedulability analysis using tools such as UPPAAL.
Skou has been involved in EU-funded initiatives addressing smart grids, energy optimization, and industrial IoT. His projects span from 1996 to 2023, with a focus on real-time systems, component contracts, and energy management. His contributions include middleware solutions for home automation (HomePort) and compositional analysis of hierarchical scheduling systems. Skou’s publications reflect a blend of theoretical computer science and applied engineering, particularly in embedded systems and energy systems.
