Fei Chen is a Professor in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2005), he has held academic positions including Associate Professor at SUSTech (2014-2020) and Research Assistant Professor at The University of Hong Kong (2012-2014). Education : PhD (Biomedical Engineering, CUHK), MPhil (Biomedical Engineering, Nanjing University), BSc (Microwave Physics, Nanjing University) His research focuses on speech perception , biomedical signal processing , and brain-computer interfaces , with applications in hearing assistance and neural engineering. His recent publications explore cortical auditory responses, frequency-compressed speech, and noise-robust intelligibility metrics. Dr. Chen is a Senior Member of IEEE , Full Member of the Acoustical Society of America , and recipient of the 2011 National Organization for Hearing Research Foundation Research Award (USA) and the 2015 Best Presentation Award at the Asia Pacific Conference of Speech, Language and Hearing.
